Walnut Creek
Walnut Creek is a Friendswood Development community off of FM 2977 south of Richmond and Rosenberg.  There is easy access to the freeway 59 at Brazos Town Center.   Started in 2008 Walnut Creek will eventually have about 400 homes.  Current builders are Lennar/Village Builders and Scott Thomas Homes.  Walnut Creek has a few homes with as little as 1200 sq.ft. up to 3500 sq.ft.  Prices average more than $200,000.
Walnut Creek has a community center with a swimming pool and playgrounds for younger and older children.  A greenbelt, park & picnic area, walking trail and soccer field are part of the amenities.
Lamar Consolidated ISD provides the public schools with  Cora Thomas Elementary School which is within Walnut Creek.   Reading Junior High School and George Ranch High School are on FM 762 in the country.

    I own and have lived in a Onyx/Scott Thomas Home for 2-3 years in Houston and do not recommend them to anyone, not even my enemies.

    I have a leaky roof, structural issues, and a devalued home because they cut corners, use cheap inexperienced labor/contractors, and sub-standard materials. Most of my neighbors all along our street are moving due to their poor quality and have lost money on out of pocket repairs and the sale price. Onyx/Scott Thomas Home is about equal with KB Homes in bad reputation, unprofessional, give good lip service.

    Don't be a victim, stay away from this builder. Learn from my mistake and my neighbors mistakes.
