The City of Fulshear is located at the junction of FM 1093 and FM 359 west of Cinco Ranch. Fulshear is southwest of Katy and northwest of Richmond, Texas. Until recently Fulshear was a gas station and a few small businesses and homes.  Recently Fulshear was incorporated and includes some of the surrounding area within the city limits of this rapidly growing area. It has a police force, several restaurants and businesses. Plans are underway to extend the Westpark Tollway to Fulshear.   Cross Creek Ranch is a large new subdivision that is included within the city limits. Fulshear Creek Crossing is a new subdivision within the City of Fulshear that started in 2009. Coventry and David Weekley are building in Fulshear Creek Crossing. Homes range in value from $300,000 to $600,000. Most lots are around one-half acre. The land is rolling hills with deep creeks and lots of mature live oaks, pecans ask and elms. Twenty per cent of the land will be devoted to open spaces with woods, lakes, creeks and open space accessible by hiking trails.
The master plan calls for 1100 homes with a "Lodge" community center which includes a fitness center, junior olympic pool, Bocce and croquet courts, sand volleyball and a vineyard.

Public Schools, Private Schools, Colleges

Most of the Fulshear area homes for sale are zoned to Lamar Ind. School Dist. (LCISD) which provides Huggins elementary school located on Katy Fulshear Road in the edge of Fulshear. Wertheimer sixth grade, Briscoe Junior High School, and Foster High School are located near the junction of FM 359 and FM 723. A new Lamar high school near downtown Fulshear is planned for the near future.  When considering purchasing a home in the Fulshear area and zoning is important please check with the district in advance since new schools are being built and this may affect the zoning of the home in question. Some of the area may be in Katy ISD also.
 Westlake Preparatory Lutheran Academy is a private school on Bellaire in Bella Terra (PreK through 7th grade). Faith West Academy may be found on Porter Rd. near Franz Rd.
The University of Houston at Cinco Ranch is located at 4242 South Mason Road, Katy, Tx. Houston Community College is located on Kingsland Blvd. near Pin Oak Road and Katy Mills Mall nearby.
