These communities are associated with the original development of this area. This area started in the early 1980's with the development of Cinco Ranch and Via Ranch which were rice farming and cattle ranches. After the intial start It remained dormant for several years and revived in 1992. Much of the area was developed under the name of Cinco Ranch. These homes were built mostly in the early 1980's before the modern Cinco Ranch development started. This area has completely developed shopping areas along all major corridors. If you like established communities with mature trees, you will like this area best. If you like new homes you may go west of 99.  Katy Ind. School Dist serves all three communities

Cimarron covers a large area with homes built from 1977 to 1983. Most are over 30 years old so repairs are required. Values range from $69,000 to $149,000 and average around $110,000. Cimarron is a large area on the south side of Kingsland near 99 and east of S. Mason with good access to I-10. These are mostly smaller homes.  Silverstone joins Cimarron on the south with homes built from 1974 to 1980. They range in value from $60,000 to $108, 000 and average about $80,000. Typically homes of this age in poor repair are found toward the bottom of this range, and homes in better condition are near the top of the range. These are smaller homes.
